A failure to adhere to tuberculosis medicine is causing the bacteria to mutate into deadly drug resistant strains. Lack of adherence has many contributing factors, from poverty to the impact the drugs have on the body. This project was shot after the first XDR outbreak in South Africa, which broke out in a TB hospital and killed 53 of the 54 patients in the ward. It documents life in the times of TB and what is being done to eradicate it.
