Afrika Burn

Back to Photo Essays

Afrika Burn is the product of non-comercialism, freedom of expression, collaboration, and innovation. There is no profit to be made, and the vast amounts of effort that go into making the festival don’t show any personal gain beyond the joy of doing them, and enjoying the efforts that everyone else makes as well. The final product is one of sheer awe. It is an experience more than a festival, and for those who experience it, it becomes a way of life and thinking rather than an annual event. I hate to say it, but these pictures don’t do it justice.
